One of a pair of larger, striking landscape paintings created in the winter of 2025/26 during the countless storms that battered the South West of the UK.
Wild, windy weather has always captivated me, and I love trying to convey the restless movement and shifting light of those tempestuous days across the landscapes of Devon and Dorset. I used acrylics and inks to suggest motion and mood, with features such as wind-sculpted trees, far-reaching views along the coastal path, and an overall sense of the raw energy and power of storms.
