I run taster classes to give you a one off experience of having a go at landscape painting in my fully equipped studio just outside Lyme Regis.

Generally the sessions start after a quick chat about what you’d like to achieve, any experience with acrylic or other mediums followed by a hands on intro to acrylic paint and a warm up exercise in colour palette selection and mark making into wet paint.

Then we have a go at a simple landscape composition and learn some layer making techniques in the way I would start a painting. We create a simple small (A4 or A5 ) painting on paper which you can take away with you and pop into a frame.

I also offer one to one tuition which can be helpful if you are wanting to focus on a particular area of practice such as compostion, colour palette selection, painting skies for example.
